At Winnipeg Richardson International Airport, we aim to provide an inclusive and accessible airport environment.

Accessibility Plan

We recognize that accessibility and inclusion lay at the heart of building a sustainable future and are prioritizing the identification, removal, and prevention of barriers to equal access at YWG. As part of our commitment, we’ve developed an Accessibility Plan to help show the steps we will take over the next three years to enhance accessibility in our services and across our facilities. We’ll also regularly share updates on our progress to keep our community informed.

Our employees are trained to help

As providers of transportation-related services, employees and contractors at the airport are required to complete accessibility training appropriate to the requirements of their role and function at the airport. This training is a regulatory requirement of the Canadian Transportation Agency's Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations and aims to prepare staff in all areas to assist travellers and visitors at the airport.

Support on-site

If you have any questions while you're at the airport, please visit our Information Booth located on Arrivals Level 1 near Door 3 for support.

In addition, the airport's Goldwing Ambassadors are easy to spot in their gold jackets. They're happy to provide personal assistance inside the airport. Many of these friendly volunteers are fluent in different languages, helping us to reduce language and cultural barriersDon't hesitate to ask a Goldwing Ambassador for help or information.
